How geRaff Works

Free to start hosting. Free to enter. Pickup is free — shipping (if needed) is the only cost.

That's the whole idea. No entry fees, no gimmicks, no catch. geRaff it!

Fair, Transparent, and Random

🎟 How Raffles Work

  1. A business, creator, or individual creates a free Group Mode raffle on geRaff and shares their campaign link with their audience.
  2. Entrants click the link, fill out their details, and enter for free — no purchase required.
  3. When the raffle deadline passes the host draws a winner using geRaff's secure random draw engine.Curious how winners are actually chosen? See how it works →
  4. General Raffles: The winner is notified by email with instructions for claiming their prize. School/Group Raffles: The host announces and coordinates directly.
  5. The winner pays shipping and handling only — set by the host and displayed clearly before entering.
  6. The host ships the prize and marks the raffle as shipped in their dashboard. General Raffles only: The winner receives a confirmation email that their prize is on the way. School/Group Raffles: the host coordinates directly.

All entries are free — there is no paid entry method on geRaff. General Raffles also include an email-based alternative entry option on each raffle's page. See our No Purchase Necessary policy for details.

📦 How Fulfillment Works

Once a winner is drawn:

  • The host has 7 days to contact the winner and arrange shipment
  • Once shipped the host marks the raffle as completed in their dashboard
  • General Raffles only: The winner receives an email confirming their prize has been shipped. School/Group Raffles: the host coordinates directly.
  • If the host is unable to fulfill within 7 days they may use the Cancel & Re-Draw option in their dashboard
  • Re-draws are available once per raffle only
  • All raffle outcomes are final and cannot be manually influenced
  • Winners who have not heard from their host after 7 days can contact hello@geraff.com for help

🎁 What Can You Raffle?

If it has value to your group or audience, it's worth raffling. A few ideas to get started:

  • Overstock and excess inventory — turn slow-moving stock into goodwill instead of a write-off
  • Giveaway and promo products — branded merch, samples, swag sitting in a closet
  • Returned or open-box items — still good, just not sellable at full price
  • Gift cards — easy, low-effort prize that anyone can use (gift cards over $500 ARV require prior approval — see our Prohibited Items Policy)
  • Employee perks — extra PTO day, a parking spot, lunch with leadership
  • Donated items — local business donations for a team or classroom raffle
  • Event leftovers — swag bags, raffle baskets, conference giveaways that didn't get claimed
  • Tickets or experiences — sports tickets, movie passes, anything sitting unused

Not sure if your item is eligible? Review our Prohibited Items Policy before creating your raffle.

Perfect for office morale raffles, classroom prizes, team rewards, club fundraising, and live events.
